Dr. Swigert grew up in South Baldwin County and is a graduate of Foley High School.

Dr. Swigert fell out of a tree at the age of 11 and injured his lower back. He struggled with back pain all
through high school. After graduating he was working as a general manager of a fast-food restaurant
but was miserable with back pain. He limped into a chiropractor’s office and shortly walked out without
pain. This prompted him to change his major in college to pre-med, so he could attend chiropractic
college.

Since graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa in 1985, he has maintained a
license in Alabama for 38 years. During this period, he has had working relationships with Orthopedic,
and Neurosurgeons. In the early 90’s he was invited to attend OR with an Orthopedic surgeon in
Pensacola, Florida, where he assisted in multiple surgical procedures.

In 1998 Dr. Swigert worked as a physician’s assistant for a Radiologist in Pensacola. During his tenure
there he learned MRI and assisted in invasive procedures, including interarticular injections and trigger
point injections. After learning Diagnostic Imaging, he opened his own MRI business for 8 years.

Dr. Swigert later returned to chiropractic as an assistant doctor for several years. In April of 2021, Dr.
Swigert opened Live Well Chiropractic in Spanish Fort.

Dr. Swigert continues to increase his knowledge each year attending continuing education classes to
keep up with new techniques and services.
